“Moderation” may seek to manifest and validate “solid” ground simply by finding a sort of “middle” ground among competing claims and calling it some sort of “common” ground. It is defined and given meaning in the world only by the coordinates of the “grounds” around it, however unfounded and spurious the claims thereto may be. It is “ungrounded,” and unfounded in the way that colonies and settlements may be unfounded.

But is it worse? Does it cosign, endorse, legitimize, in very fact give credence to, radical extremism? By putting all claims on some sort of

“equal ground?”

Today Israel announced that Hamas is using heavily armed Israeli soldiers as human shields.

Israeli Defense minister Ehud “Heydude” Barak (everybody gets a nickname) claimed that Hamas deliberately operates in areas that are thickly infested with heavily armed Israeli military personnel who are actively engaged in massive attacks on them.

He said Israeli soldiers are more likely to be killed by their own “friendly fire” if they are in areas that are densely populated with other Israeli soldiers.

Barak claims the killing of Israeli soldiers by Israeli soldiers is a deliberate strategy of Hamas since it “makes Israel look bad.”

Things You May Not Have Considered In Making Your Decision To Vote For Obama:

* Obama has never publicly stated that he is not a flesh vehicle for a team of tiny aliens.

* Obama refuses to talk about any instances in which he accidentally defecated in his pants. Are we to believe a human can go their entire lives without an urgent fecal mistake? America deserves the truth.

* Obama does not know how to drive a monster truck.

* Ask yourself this: has Obama ever shaken your hand, looked you directly in the eye, and told you he’s not a Muslim? Why not? Is he scared you’ll know he’s lying? If he’s done this once, why hasn’t he done it twice?

* Obama hasn’t taken the time to write any patriotic songs. Obama has written zero patriotic songs. Zero. No ditties either.

* Obama’s teeth, being made of enamel, or capable of crushing the windpipe of a smiling child. Yet, he chooses to keep them.

* Obama wouldn’t laugh at the jokes you like. They’d make him uncomfortable.

* Obama has never bought Ronald Reagan a drink.
